Please help Rex recover from getting hit by a car

On October 1st, Rex, my 1.5 year old Husky mix, was struck by a vehicle speeding thru my neighborhood, breaking his pelvis and causing other related injuries. His only fault was his insufferable wanderlust and need to run, a trait of the Husky breed.
As I was leaving my house he pushed thru my legs and made a mad dash for his favorite park. I followed him out into street frantically attempting to wave off the oncoming vehicle. The driver ignored my pleading gestures and sped around me running over Rex.
The driver did stop but denied fault because Rex wasn't on a leash. He then drove off without providing his personal information leaving both Rex and myself crying in the street.
Being a proud individual, I find it hard to ask for help but like a lot of you, I'm going thru financial hardship due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The cost of his hospitalization, treatment and needed surgery to repair his broken pelvis is far too much for me to afford. But I'm pleading for help, the only other option for me is to put him down and I can't possibly do that, he's like my child.
As I write this, I'm still in a state of shock and sobbing uncontrollably, not only for myself but for Rex, my little boy. His adoptive brother and sister (both Chihuahuas) wander the house looking for him, wondering where their big little brother is at. So I'm asking for your help, whatever you could afford, to help both Rex and myself get thru this traumatic event.
