Help Restore Historic Christian Campground

The Chicago District Campground Association (Also known as The Historic Methodist Campground in Des Plaines) is currently undergoing a major restoration phase. There were originally 129 buildings on site, but due to damaging floodwaters, many have had to be demolished. We are doing our best to save and restore the remaining structures and revive the grounds. In Civil War times and many years following, ministers such as Billy Sunday, Billy Graham, and D.L. Moody preached here and there were revivals holding 10,000+ people! Our hope is to restore these buildings and bring revival back to the Chicagoland area. But we need your help. There are not nearly enough funds to restore the remaining 70-80 buildings. They all need to have paint scraped and be repainted, structural work, and elevation to avoid recurring flooding. Would you please pray about helping our cause? We desire to be a blessing to the community and be a safe haven for believers to come here and be in the presence of God in the beautiful nature he has created. We sit on almost 40 acres of land and we hope to use it for God's glory and honor! Please help us to accomplish this goal and be a part of something that has the potential to reach many souls for Christ!
