Help repair Tennyson Road Infant School

Donation protected

Tennyson Road Infant School, Rushden.

On Saturday 23 January between 22:40 and 23:00 Tennyson Road Infant School had the misfortune of 2 people scale the fence between the school and the Pemberton centre, they then removed a padlock from one of the gates and gained access to the roof where they proceeded to strip the lead flashing and remove quite a few tiles to enable this. Due to the weekend and then a snow day on Monday unfortunately the staff didn’t notice this until Tuesday morning. They have caused a significant amount of damage and due to the snow and rain over the following few days there is now leaks within the building causing further damage and cost. They have also had one of the children’s sheds damaged and currently can’t gain access to it.

Tennyson road was the infant school I attended as a child. I then went on to work there for 9years, with some of my family members still currently working there. I would really love to try and raise some money to help them with their repairs. They are only a small infant school and they do not have a bottomless pot of money to keep repairing reoccurring vandalism. Anysmall donation will be greatly appreciated.
