Help Repair Damage to Bottle Monkey - BeerToGo

Hi My name is Chris Griffiths and I own and operate Bottle Monkey the only independent bottle shop on the Isle of Man.

Over the course of the weekend, we had an unwanted visitor to our shop who decided that causing mindless damage to stock and property was a good idea. As result we are left without the equipment we need to run our store and a massive mess to clean up.

The general public has been massively supportive with both kindness and placing online orders, which has a massive help in the immediate aftermath of the incident, both emotionally and in replacing the lost trade of a payday weekend and for that, we are immensely grateful.

However, in terms of keeping us operational, that is essentially business as usual. The sales are just coming in from a different source, and we use these to meet the running costs and stock replenishment, the day to day stuff of a small business.

We will put as much as we can into sorting out this mess ourselves, but that still leaves us in a difficult position in the immediate future. While we may or may not receive compensation via our insurance company, we don't know when that will be coming.

So we are asking for a bit of help to replace the equipment we lost as quickly as possible so we can welcome you all back to the shop.

The equipment list at the moment includes but is not limited to:

A new till system

Glassware

Record player

Keg dispense equipment

Furniture

TV's & games console (these belong to another small business that hosts events in our store, they may be ok. We will be testing them today)

Fire Safety equipment

Destroyed stock

If we receive more money than we need, the additional funds will be donated to a local charity. Also, if we receive any compensation via our insurance policy after receiving funding from here to cover the costs, we will also donate that to a local charity.
