Help Me recover from back surgery!

Hey all, it's Uli Avelar, a lot of you know me from working Security at Hogs and Heifers off and on for the past 10-11 years. If I wasn’t working because of an injury, I was usually around anyways especially at all of the events. I'm writing this to all of you today because for the past 5 years or so I have been suffering from chronic back pain. It has gotten to a point that last year 2016 in June I couldn’t take it anymore and could no longer handle working security anymore. “Lucky” for me I got laid off/let go at the same time.
I have done therapy, rehab and medications, which have helped a little but with no permanent lasting solutions. I have seen several Orthopedic Specialists whom have concluded that surgery is the only step forward to proceed. My Doctor is very honest about the surgery and I am primarily looking at getting the numbness to go away in my legs and pain relief is hopefully down the road. Cross my fingers!
On September 14th, 2017 I will be having Laminectomy and Foraminotomy surgery to relieve the pressure on the nerves on my lower back through the L2 to L4 and repair a damaged/protruding disc that is putting pressure on my spinal cord. I will be at UMC
Hospital for a couple of days and then go into a Rehabilitation Center for a few more days to recover until I can go home on my own. Then I'm looking at a long 3-4 months of recovery.
To put it simply, I will not be able to keep up with bills and I desperately need help. Since leaving Hogs & Heifers I have been living off of what little savings I had (which is long gone) and as those that are friends on Facebook have seen, I’ve been selling whatever I can to make ends meet. I have my medical covered but not my other bills (rent, insurance, electric, gas, etc.). I have also filed for SSA/Disability but we all know how our government agencies work and I’m a good 4 or 5 months for approval. That's if I get approved!
I do not like to feel like a burden and have had to swallow my pride but I am asking my “Hogs Family”, friends and friends of friends for any help that anyone can provide. It would be so incredibly appreciated, I cannot tell you hard this has been. My immediate family has and continues to help me as much as they can but it is difficult and straining.
Thank you so much for your support and for any donations. I admire people who want to be independent and take care of themselves, but even when we have the best of intentions, there are times we need the help of others. Unfortunately, this is one of those times and I have to ask for the help of friends and family.
