Help rebuild Trico Shrimp Company!

Hello, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Dana Gala and I’m Trico Shrimp Company’s retail market manager. If you’ve been to our store I’m sure you’ve seen me there. I’m the small brunette girl that’s always happy to help. I might’ve even got the chance to proudly tell you my grandparent's own Trico Shrimp Company. Trico Shrimp Company has been a family/friend-owned and operated company since 1977 and though I’m only 23 I’ve watched as Trico has triumphed and endured many hardships. However, I have never seen anything like this. Hurricane Ian has struck destruction all across our coast and we need help. We want to restore Fort Myers Beach to its formal glory. We are starting this go fund me to assist Trico Shrimp Company in cleaning up, rebuilding, repairing boats, and relocating boats back to the water. Our maintenance shop was flattened by one of our boats resulting in a major loss of supplies and tools. Our retail market and freezers were flooded and all product was destroyed. Our offices were dismantled and all paperwork was ruined. Hurricane Ian slammed into southwest Fl carrying an 18-foot storm surge that washed all 12 of our shrimp boats up onto dry land. Some boats landed in our parking lots, and others on top of nearby residents' houses. Earlier this week, Trico was informed that eventually boats and buildings would be bulldozed or destroyed completely so reparations are urgent. Trico owns 9 fiberglass boats and 3 steel hauls. To return these boats to the water, they require a 300-ton crane that could cost anywhere between $40,000-$60,000 PER BOAT, which is difficult to afford without the ability to run our business. We are asking for any donations to begin the restoration of Trico Shrimp Company. We would like to restore the heart of Fort Myers Beach as soon as possible but we need your help!
