Help rebuild my parent’s home after Beirut blast

 

On August 4th, 2020, a huge explosion rocked Beirut. The damage from the blast affected over half of the city. Homes and properties were destroyed in a radius of up to 150 miles. My parents’ house is located less than a kilometer (0.5 miles) away from the blast's epicenter... Fortunately, we were all safe and had minor injuries, but the house was directly hit and is now uninhabitable. As winter approaches, essential repairs need to be done before the first rain. 

 

Everything needs to be replaced: Doors, windows, electric appliances, beds, closets, kitchen and bathroom tiles... cars, laptops and mobile phones were also broken. The damage was estimated to be around 50 000 USD!

 

As the Lebanese economy is crumbling, government help is absent and the banks have put a hold on all Lebanese people’s hard earned savings. 

 

 

This is why I would like to help my parents rebuild their home so that they can move back in as soon as possible.
