Update - Hi all,
Spencer Goodall here, President of Hereford Rugby Club. I have been asked to increase the donation target as the damage at HRFC is so extensive!! We are so grateful for your generous support. Thank you so much
Again I would like to state how overwhelmed we all are at the support of everyone, from ex-players who have moved away, members of other rugby clubs, and locals who have dug deep and been so generous, your donations will make a huge difference. Having been into the clubhouse this week the damage is about as bad as we had feared. New flooring completely ruined, fridges and freezers in the kitchen tipped onto their backs and flooded, our ovens have also been flooded, along with bar fridges, stock room, and the list goes on.
We plan to spend any money donated on everything damaged by the floodwater. For those interested, here is a list of damages we plan to repair.
Carpet throughout the club
Training kit (tackle pads, tackle suits, junior training wear etc)
Office supplies (computer, desk etc)
Lighting and damaged electric work
Without flood insurance, any further donation will be of such great help. Let's get our club back up and running. Thank you all again!!
Hereford Rugby Club is an amateur sports club, home to Senior teams and over 400 regular juniors. In recent months the club has been flooded three times, only
managing two home fixtures in the past four months. With this most recent flooding due to the effects of Storm Dennis, the flood water has risen into the club itself, damaging electrics, bar stock, kitchen equipment, training equipment and everything else kept inside the club itself.
The Rugby Club will need the help of all members, and anyone else who can help, to clean up, and repair all the damage caused.
If you think you can help, even the smallest amount will count towards Hereford Rugby Club getting back up and running again.
