Help Reagan Suubi with Hope & Faith Orphanage

Donation protected

Welcome to the fundraiser I am organizing, here's a little about me so you know a bit about my story and why I am helping Reagan.

My name is Nicholas Huskey (I'm the one in the Santa outfit in the family photo)

I am from Ohio and was born in the USA. I was raised by 2 loving parents, and am the middle child of two brothers. We grew up in the middle class, not quite poor, but not quite wealthy either. If you rolled coins as a child you know where I'm coming from. We had food on the table and the opportunity to succeed with athletics and education through our youth. Our family was kind to those around us which provided a strong platform for my growth.

Fast forward a few years now, and in my adulthood, I have found others in the world who have not been so blessed with their opportunities.

My goal with this fundraiser is to provide an ongoing support system for Reagan and for the families that he helps in his community.

Thank you for taking the time to help someone else in need, your donation goes a long way in providing food, shelter, education, water, and hope to the people in Uganda.

and now here's a message from Reagan:

HOPE AND FAITH ORPHANAGE

This is an orphanage based in the Buikwe district located in Uganda a country found in East Africa.

My name is Reagan Suubi and having been raised from childhood as an orphan I know what it means to be an orphan.
I started Hope and faith orphanage way back in 2017 and started helping 5 orphans and now 25 orphans.
With much more progress we plan to increase the number of orphans to 50 but currently, 25 is the number we aim to feed, clothe, give shelter, educate and give medication.

Buikwe district over the years has been affected by malaria spread by mosquitoes and due to poor health care in the area many lives have been lost both young and adults leaving many orphans.
In Uganda malaria kills more than any other disease.
Malaria Kills 320 People Every Day in Uganda
The death toll from malaria is more than those of HIV/AIDS and TB combined. Most of the deaths occur in children younger than 5 years of age.
AIDS and TB have left many orphaned in the area

There is a need to help more orphaned children in the area, however, currently with 25 orphans we have been progressing and last year (2019) we were able to construct a new toilet at the orphanage.
We have achieved this through the joint commitment of a few friends and their friends working hard to make it happen for the children and improve their lives.
Our sponsors have trust in us because they see what their donations do through pictures and video
We make cards for them thanking them for what efforts they make.

This time we aim to construct dormitories and hopefully, that will be done before the end of this year. As always we update you on any progress before your donation means a lot. Please support us with any amount to achieve our goals besides experiences in daily living.

Remember 1$ can feed a child for a day thus every single donation counts.
Thank you for supporting us
