Help Raul Saldana for recovery

Lives can be shattered in a matter of seconds. A father, a son, a brother whose life almost got taken away too soon, gets a second chance to live and needs our help. On October 11, Raul Saldana was on his way home. At peek hour on one of the most trafficked streets in Houston, TX. He stopped at a gas station and while sitting inside his truck a careless individual walking by shot at his truck many times. One of the bullets hit Raul’s head. His whole life and the ones around him changed forever. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital to save his life. He went under two surgeries and is not able to talk, but is able to breathe, but is also eating through tubes. As a family we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery but there is a long journey ahead of us.

He is the main provider for his children, but we don’t know how long he will be disabled. We kindly ask for your help in this time of need for Raul. He is uninsured and will need a long-term therapy to be the Raul we all knew. He’s always been there to lend a helping hand to others as a man of faith. Now it is our turn to help him.

As a family we trust God and know he has a purpose to all that Raul has gone through. May God bring us together as a community to help our brother Raul, whose life has changed just for being at the wrong place, at the wrong time. God bless!

Las vidas se pueden destrozar en cuestión de segundos. Un padre, un hijo, un hermano a quien casi le arrebatan la vida demasiado pronto, tiene una segunda oportunidad de vivir y necesita nuestra ayuda. El 11 de octubre, Raúl Saldana se dirigía a su casa. A la hora pico en una de las calles más transitadas de Houston, TX. Se detuvo en una estación de servicio y, mientras estaba sentado dentro de su camioneta, un individuo que caminaba le disparó varias veces a su camioneta. Una de las balas alcanzó la cabeza de Raúl. Toda su vida y los que lo rodeaban cambiaron para siempre. Lo llevaron rápidamente a un hospital cercano para salvar su vida. Fue sometido a dos cirugías. No puede hablar, puede respirar y comer a través de tubos. Como familia, tenemos la esperanza de que se recupere por completo, pero su recuperación será larga.

Es el principal proveedor de sus hijos y no sabemos cuánto tiempo estará discapacitado. Te pedimos amablemente tu ayuda en este momento de necesidad de Raúl. No tiene seguro médico y necesitará una terapia a largo plazo y otros costos médicos para volver a ser el Raúl que todos conocimos. Raúl siempre ha estado ahí para ayudar a los demás como hombre de fe. Ahora es nuestro turno de ayudarlo.
