Help Randy Fight Cancer and Ease the Burden

My name is Randy Smith, and I’m fighting stage 4 cancer.

In August 2024, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive non-anaplastic carcinoma that drastically changed my life overnight. The cancer started in my Thyroid and had spread to my lungs, the outlook was grim. When the surgeon opened me up, he said he did the best he could—but there was nothing more he could do surgically. That day, my fight began.

Since then, I’ve undergone intense radiation and treatments that left me unable to speak without a trach, eat normally, or even taste food the same way. The physical toll is immense—but the emotional and financial toll has been just as heavy.

I’ve spent the last several months in and out of the hospital. Treatment has been relentless, and the costs continue to pile up. My wife, Carmen, who has her own health battles, has had to put her needs aside to take care of me—while facing multiple hospital stays herself. We are doing everything we can to keep going, but it’s become overwhelming.

I’ve worked hard my entire life—most recently as an outside sales rep in the tire industry, where my customers became friends. I miss them. I miss working. But I know I need to heal.

We are asking for help—not because it’s easy, but because right now, we truly need it.
