Help Raith Get Top Surgery
Donation protected
Hello fellow humans,
My name is Raith, my pronouns are they/them, I’m a Trans, non-binary person seeking help with top surgery. I’m a counselor who loves to take hikes with my dog, paint, read, & catch up with friends. I’m a huge introvert, and a loyal friend. I’m also a massive Supernatural & Our Flag Means Death fan! In these spaces, I’ve found safety in exploring who I am and what I want for my life. As these puzzle pieces have come together I’ve found freedom and peace. I’ve also found that I feel betrayed by my own body.
Top surgery is truly life saving as it can help people like me feel safer & at home in their body. Body dysphoria causes me to feel unsafe in my body. Often times trans individuals don’t recognize their bodies. I have experienced this, along with feelings of disgust, confusion, anger, anxiety, desperation as I see a body that does not match who I believe myself to be. I see the negative toll body dysphoria has had on my mental health & overall well being. I have been in therapy, support groups, & just overall working hard to care for my mental health. I know top surgery would take a large burden off of me. The time has come that I need to ask for help. Top surgery is financially unattainable to me, but would improve my life significantly. As someone who already struggles with their mental health, this can be a life saving procedure for me. I appreciate anyone who is willing to donate.
Top surgery itself will cost about $8,000, but I will be unable to work for a month after surgery. I am adding $2,000 to my goal to help cover living costs while I am unable to work. My goal is to get $10,000. If I were to raise more than this goal or it turns out I don’t need the full amount, I will be donating the remaining to other top surgery GoFundMe’s. I want to share the love with others. Thank you for taking the time to read this & support me. Your generosity is literally life saving.
