Today our worst nightmare came true, Mickey, our best friend, was diagnosed with cancer. Cash has had Mickey since he was just a small peanut of a puppy, and after 9 years, 29 states, and the birth of Pyro's Pastrami, here we are, in this scary and uncertain situation, wondering how we're going to save Mickey.

Mickey is Cash's soulmate, and he has been by Cash's side through several of Cash's surgeries (5 and counting), and he has helped Cash heal from CPTSD. Mickey isn't just a dog, he is an extension of Cash, they're connected through a spiritual bond of love and understanding unlike any other.

Mickey is a gentle beast with a traumatic past and like Cash, also suffers from extreme anxiety, and together, they work through their fears daily and help support each other to feel grounded, loved, and valid. They're so similar, they even look alike. They love the same foods (watermelon, Edith's banana cream pie, and steak) and share the same interests. Mickey and Cash love to go hiking and explore nature. They love sitting on the beach eating snacks. Mickey and Cash also love to Netflix and chill every night after work. Mickey has his own couch and loves for Cash to tuck him in every night and give him a thousand kisses! They both even snore the same.

You see, there is no Cash without Mickey and there is no Mickey without Cash.

Cash has been through a lot of trauma in his lifetime, but having Mickey by his side during his darkest moments, have given him a reason to get out of bed. A reason to push for a better life that they can enjoy together, it's happening, and we couldn't be more grateful to have so much support for our small business with big dreams.

Mickey's tough outer shell sometimes gives people the wrong idea about him (same with Cash) But once you get to know Cash and Mickey, it s so easy to love them. They're tough looking on the outside, but marshmallows on the inside.
Cash would give his last dollar to help anyone regardless of who that person is and you can see this shine through with Pyro's. Cash truly cares about others, and is always trying to make the world a better place. So, please help keep Cash's world a better place with Mickey in it.
