Help Purchase a Winter Trail Groomer for Kimberley

Donation protected
The Kimberley Trails Society is asking for your help to raise money for the purchase of a winter trail grooming machine.  The SnowDog is a compact, tracked machine which can set a 20" groomed path anywhere.  It is light enough to easily transport and maneuver, but heavy enough to set a nice, firmly packed corduroy surface which is great for walking, snowshoeing, skiing and fat biking.

This machine will be used to groom the trails to make them more enjoyable for winter recreation activities.  The goal is to groom many of the popular walking routes in the Lois Creek trail network and also a select few trails in the Kimberley Nature Park to connect Forest Crowne with the park.  Not only will this improve the trails for walking and biking, it will also benefit the classic Nordic skiers, as we hope to draw all the walking traffic onto the groomed trails, leaving the set Nordic tracks for skiing only.

The machine will be owned, and maintained by KTS and will be operated by trained volunteers.   Grooming will primarily be done in the evening and nighttime hours.

By supporting this initiative, any new person or business who donates $100 or more will receive the benefits of KTS sponsorship for 18 months instead of 12 months, from now all the way through to the spring of 2021.
The funds raised will be spent on the SnowDog B13MER machine and the following accessories: Singletrack Groomer, Sled with Hitch and Wear Bars, Driven Sprocket Guard and the Travel/Storage cover.   Any money that is raised above our goal will be put aside for the machine's operation,  maintenance and repairs for years to come.  The funds will be withdrawn in my name (P.J. Hunton) from the GoFundMe account and put into my personal bank account.  I will then purchase the SnowDog and accessories and then transfer the remaining funds to the Kimberley Trails Society via e- transfer.  There will be a separate silo created for these funds to be strictly used for winter trail grooming activities.
The beneficiary of this GoFundMe campaign is the Kimberley Trails Society.  I am one of the directors of KTS since November of 2018 and plan to continue being on the board for at least the next five years.

Thanks in advance for your support!
See you on the soon to be snow covered trails!
