Help Publish "Saving Big Creek"

For the past three years,  I’ve been researching and writing a book about the successful 40 year campaign to save Big Creek on the central Oregon coast from being developed as a destination resort.

I have conducted personal interviews with the many people who were involved in saving Big Creek. I have also examined  historic records, and official documents. The result is a multi-layered story that braids together strands of geology, history before and after the arrival of Euro-Americans, politics and law,  and changing cultural trends that have made preservation of the natural world a priority in Oregon. I’m eager to get this story out into the world, to celebrate all the people and organizations who contributed to the protection of this beautiful natural area and the elk, salmon, and endangered silverspot butterflies that live there.

 I need to raise $7,100 to pay for publishing, printing, e-book conversion, and marketing. I’ve created a GoFundMe account raise money to cover those costs.
