Help Provide surgery for Rory!

Donation protected

Toni has done absolutely everything to give her dogs the best life they could ever want. Recently, her shibe Rory started having vision problems and her eye was watering an abnormal amount. Toni took her to the vet right away to have them look at her eye and was told it was just allergies. About two weeks later, Rory’s eye began to start swelling and she was displaying visible signs of pain and discomfort. Toni realized this right away and began calling vet lines to discuss what was happening and get advice. She ended up taking her to an urgent vet care facility where they told her it was acute glaucoma.

she was referred to an eye specialist who told her Rory's lens has moved in front of her pupil. There is a slim chance they can get it back in place on its own, but it very rarely works. Surgery is very likely.

We don't know if the lens displacement is what is causing the pressure in the eye, and it's the pressure that is the glocoma. There might still be pressure even after the lens issues are resolved.

$2000ish for the surgery, which would remove the lens, and let her still be able to see. But it can only wait a week before she starts really suffering again. Besides, there are risks of blindness even after the surgery.

- with covid 19 and other health issues she’s been facing, this financial stress is piling.  Rory has given Toni so much support and is a belovedmember of her family.

please share what you can and help Rory get the surgery she needs to keep her vision or to assist with vet bills and treatments!
