Help Protecting People in Afghanistan

Afghanistan in a National Crisis
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), Afghanistan has displaced at least 550,000 people from January to August due to political unrest. Even if residents want to leave Afghanistan in an unstable situation, most of the borders are closed, making it very difficult to move abroad. Residents lost their homes and became displaced and scattered throughout Afghanistan. There is no place to live due to the lack of shelter, and food shortages are also serious due to the shortage of goods and rising prices due to border closures. More than half of children under the age of five are facing acute malnutrition. Moreover, the extreme drought caused by the climate crisis and the COVID-19 situation overlap, putting the residents at risk for their survival.

Humanitarian Aid is Urgently Needed
In such an emergency, Good Neighbors intends to provide a total of $2.5 million in humanitarian aid over three years. Good Neighbors is continuously monitoring for the safety of residents and will provide the most urgently needed support such as food distribution and drinking water and sanitation support according to local circumstances. First of all, we will provide emergency relief worth 1 million dollars, and continue providing humanitarian aid worth 1.5 million dollars over the next three years until Afghanistan is stabilized.

Good Neighbors with Afghanistan for 20 years
Good Neighbors has been with Afghanistan for 20 years. Since 2002, she has been active in Afghanistan, supporting women and children who have been deprived of their basic rights. By supporting clinics and hospitals, and operating a women's education and culture center, we carried out support projects in various fields such as health care, education, and training, women's rights strengthening, drinking water sanitation, and emergency relief. Through this, we wanted to support Afghanistan to lead a sustainable life without Good Neighbors.

But right now, 20 years of hard work and the foundation of the people's lives are in danger of collapsing. The situation has worsened, but Good Neighbors will be with them even more. Please do not ignore the suffering of the people of Afghanistan. Please be with them now.

Beneficiary: 1,000 Refugees
