Support Prince's Family

Our friend and brother, Prince White, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition and sadly he succumbed to the illness on August 24th.  We are beyond devastated by his loss. We are hoping that this GoFundMe campaign can provide support to his wife Claire and their boys in this difficult time.

Prince was a shining light in the Oakland social justice movement, leading work to stop the criminalization of young people of color and to end the system of mass incarceration.  He was a brilliant, passionate, and committed leader and someone who deeply impacted everyone he met.

He was a loving and devoted father of three. He and his wife, Claire, a criminal defense attorney, worked together to fight for justice for young men impacted by mass incarceration. 

Prince mentored many young men and youth in the Oakland community through his work with the Determination Black Men's Group and Urban Peace Movement. The young people think of him as a family member. 

Prince and Claire worked selflessly to fight for social justice in our community and it is only right for us as a community to come together and support their family in this time of need.
