Help Prince Louie Get His Life Saving GI Surgery

Prince Louie came into the veterinary clinic when he was 6 weeks old. His owner could not afford the specialist needed to perform the critical procedure to fix his GI tract. My team and I had the choice of putting him to sleep or trying to get him the surgery and find a great adoptive home.

Louie's rectum did not form correctly and he has a very difficult time defecating. Last week he had to be hospitalized and treated for constipation. A board certified surgeon can remove the narrowed area and move the normal area backward to fix the problem. This resolves the issue in most of the dogs who get the surgery.



He is a super sweet and amazing dog. He loves people and all animals!
