She has given so much positivity to the youth and families in the Raleigh area for 45 years plus..
I hope many folks can give back to help her now.
This past month (September 8-9) Pierrette suffered x2 strokes and brain bleeding at the same time. She had x2 very serious, urgent surgeries to keep the strokes from continually disabling her brain. She currently has memory, speech, mobility and comprehension issues. These issues are life changing and the future is unknown.
Unfortunatly, prior to the strokes she had discovered cancer and was receiving chemotherapy for lymphoma. Prior to that she was scheduled for a full knee replacement.
Despite her age at 80 years old, she had continued to teach young children movement and dance classes up until the cancer diagnosis.
After only 3 chemo treatments she suffered the strokes.
Pierrette lost her husband / my father after a long Ilness around 12 years ago and has lived alone in youngsville ever since.
Pierrette needs the funds to help with her living expenses/ future living/ relocation costs.
Unfortunatly its all TBD at this point as she in in a rehab facility currently, but hopefully be able to transition to a more flexible living situation once her condition improves.
