Help Peter Fight His Psychosis

Donation protected
Monday, Oct. 12th , 2020 my son’s life took a huge turn for the worst.

Sunday Night into Monday Morning Peter was completely immersed in his second psychotic break from reality (the first break was on the morning of his 16th birthday).  He had no idea who he was, when he was, where he was or who the people around him were. He has been hearing voices, having paranoia and paranoid delusions.  Things turned violent at around 5am Monday morning… He attacked his dad, who could only make an attempt to restrain him, protect him and calm him down.  He got him calm, then my son heard a voice telling him we were going to harm him and take him to the hospital, so he ran and jumped out of his bedroom second floor window.  Luckily he landed on a plastic deck roof and my husband had time to grab him by the shirt and pull him up while my son was confused and throwing punches.  We talked him down to agree to let us drive him to the local Behavioral Health center when things took a turn for the worst for him.

Too many people were in the waiting room and he got really confused and ran out of the building. This happened 2 more times before they brought him back. The end result of this was my son being so out of control and unable to understand what was going on it took 10 security guards and police officers to take him down and then 4 sedative shots later he was strapped to a restraint chair for 12 hours.

This is NOT my son as our family and friends know him. He is a loving, peaceful, kind hearted, funny kid. Peter wouldn't hurt a fly, never mind another person and certainly not his dad or himself. We are a very close family that has suffered a great blow.

Peter is also 20 years old and is at that time of his life where he should be thinking of his life's plan to support himself and build a life for himself.  This herein lies the problem, this is stress normal young adults can learn to cope with but he is unable right now.  We are currently living with my 70+ year old parents and while the home is wonderful, loving and supportive in all ways, it will not help Peter gain any independence and live as an adult.  His doctor agrees with this as well.

Any donations are welcome...land, mobile home, money etc.  We are currently in the Greensboro NC area. When he is stable I can go back to work at my family's wellness center. We also aren't afraid of rehab work. We also have some things for sale to help support him.  would be willing to exchange and barter whatever we can provide or have to make his dream come true.

Please help me and my family get Peter back. We miss the fun loving kid he is. We all hate to see him struggle in his day to day life like this.
