Help Perri with Duck's Emergency Eye Removal Bills

Donation protected
Ms. P, Perri Potigian was my AP Lit teacher in high school. She is an incredible person who cares deeply about those in her life and loves her animals more than anything. I can't imagine the pain she is feeling right now. I'm copying and pasting her Facebook post explaining what happened to Duck, her tabby cat, but the gest is that he was shot in broad daylight. The vet was able to save his life by removing his eye but the bills were astronomical. I'm hoping the Fresno community can come together to help Perri or Ms. P, however, you know her. Here is her post.

"I let Duck out yesterday morning around 8am. Around noon, I let the dogs outside while I was going to make lunch. When I did this, I saw him staggering up to the back porch. I went to pick him up and immediately realized he was bleeding profusely from a massive face wound. I got him inside, wrapped it to stop the bleeding and rushed him to the emergency vet.

The easiest assumption at first was that a large dog had gotten ahold of him. I elected to have the vet do surgery to remove his eye to save him. The surgery happened last night. This morning, the vet called me to inform me that they had removed a large pellet from his eye (see photo of tube with pellet). What this means is that this wasn't the result of Duck accidentally crossing paths with the wrong dog. It meant someone had intentionally shot him. There is no way this was an accident. It happened in broad daylight between 8am and 12pm yesterday morning in the Tower District.

If you are a pet owner in the Tower District I urge you to be aware that there is someone shooting cats. If I had any idea, I never would have let mine outside. They will be strictly inside from now on.

I don't want to see this happen to anyone else. Poor Duck has suffered so much from this and still has a long road to recovery. I had to take on several thousand dollars in credit card debt that I can't afford to save him. I don't want to see this happen to anyone else.

I've already filed a police report and I will be speaking to an officer about further steps later today. I will also be making posts in all the neighborhood groups and apps."
Here is Duck before he was shot. He's such a sweet cat. I've also included a picture of her other pets which she adores as well.
