Afghanistan is still suffering from the war on terror. In recent days, there were multiple attacks by terrorists throughout the country. While the devastating incident is of Ghazni, where these terrorists attacked the capital city of Ghazni in midnight and burned various parts of the city, including markets. Taliban took the responsibility for this attack, which ended up after 5 days with the loss of tens of civilians, Afghan forces and the economic loss of the people. Taliban used civilian houses as a shield to fight against the Afghan government forces. Local people in the city and nearby districts suffered severely, the city does not have supplies for almost a week. We have initiated this fundraising to support and help affected families.

This call to stand by those families who been targeted and lost their loved ones in this brutal war.

With the help of your little support, we will be able to survive the lives of these affected families. With this donation, we will buy grocery, immediate emergency needs for families who left their houses and other commodities as needed.

We have a team of dedicated individuals in Kabul and Ghazni (Ghazni Alumni Association) who will, in close coordination of local community councils and elders, be coordinating this whole process. Every penny of your donation will go directly towards the cause and there is NO ADMINISTRATIVE cost because it is all run by a local council of youth - all generous volunteers. IT IS AN EMERGENCY! We, on behalf of the victims of the incident, call upon you to help people get their wounds recovered, give them clean water to drink, and a piece of bread to eat.

The cost of living is low in Afghanistan and HERE IS WHAT YOUR MONEY CAN DO:

$5 = can feed one family of 5 people - two times meal.
$10 = can buy medical supplies for one wounded person.
$20 = can provide round-trip transportation cost for a wounded person to get to Kabul, the capital city, for treatment.
$50= can provide safe drinking water to a small village of 50 houses.

Who are we and why we raise this fund?
The money will be directed to the account number of Naqib Sarwary. Naqib Sarwary was born and raised in Ghazni, Afghanistan and has studied in Kyrgyzstan and New York City. Naqib is an alumnus of the United State's government and has founded Ghazni Alumni Association in 2014 to increase community engagement among youth. Multiple projects, including (Summer Camp Afghanistan) have been completed so far in partnership with local communities and international supporters, for more info you can follow GAA's Facebook Page .

How will the funds be sent to Afghanistan?
Once the money is withdrawn from GoFundMe, $2000 in first withdrawal will be sent to Ghazni through Western Union to the head of Ghazni Alumni Association (GAA) - I will pay the transfer fee myself so donations have a full impact - and a community group will help GAA in donating it to the victims. In each next transaction, each time $1000 will be sent until the campaign is closed.

How will it be spent?
The Ghazni Alumni Association volunteers have since August 14th visited local communities, hospitals, and markets to get to know the neediest. The funds will be given to the (1) families of martyrs- who can't afford to pay for the funeral ceremony, (2) wounded individuals in the local hospital, (3) poorest vendors who have lost their entire small business in the war and as a result, have nothing to survive on. A detailed list will be provided once donations are handed to the victims.

Are there other people are also fundraising for this cause?
Yes. Many local groups have initiated local and international fundraising initiative to raise money for this cause. In order to make sure we all donate to the neediest; all donations raised by Ghazni Alumni Association will be reported to these groups so that other groups can focus on giving to a different affected neighborhood.
