Help PAWS - Precious Animals Worth Saving

Donation protected
This fundraising campaign is for PAWS - Precious Animals Worth Saving. We have been rescuing animals - mostly cats - from the streets of Jackson, MN, since 2010. In those years, we have helped reunite many animals with their owners, as well as find hundreds of new homes for those who were abandoned or born on the streets. We have also implemented a TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) program for those cats who are too feral to find indoor homes for. The need for funds is ongoing, and all funds are used for spaying/neutering, vaccinating, testing and other necessary vet costs, as well as feeding and sheltering the cats until they find their forever homes. PAWS is no-kill, so they stay with us until they find homes. Some have been with us for as long as 8 years. They have their home with us until their forever family is found.

PAWS has taken in a number of rescues recently, and the upcoming financial needs will be high, to have everyone spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and several of these rescues have extra-special medical needs.

Angelica and Darrin are two of these rescues - they were found on the streets of Jackson. They are both immediately friendly with people as well as other cats. Their purr-motors can be heard across the room! They are around 4-5 months old, and are scheduled to be fixed in January and February.

Ariel was found near the pharmacy in Jackson. She was initially pulled from the middle of the street, then was found again later in the parking lot between the car wash and the pharmacy and was brought to us. She has severely frostbitten ears and the tip of her tail is also frostbitten. She will have some extra needs medically in addition to her spay and vaccinations. She is nervous with people at first, but warms up very quickly once she is in your arms. She is around 3 months old.

Dolly was found in the parking lot between Ace Hardware and Family Dollar in Jackson. She was stumbling and very weak, and would not have survived the cold and snow we got the evening after she was rescued. She is an absolute sweetheart who is now safe and warm. She will be seeing the vet tomorrow to be evaluated for what appear to be lingering neurological issues.

Bobby is the most recent rescue - he has been seen for at least several months near the elementary school in Jackson. We thought he was a feral, but once he got inside and warmed up, he turned out to be one of the sweetest and most cooperative kids in the world! He was just neutered and will be available for adoption once he is fully vaccinated.

On the other end of the spectrum is Tory, one of our long-term residents. She was rescued after being left behind at a house in Lakefield nearly 10 years ago. She has had a variety of medical issues through the years, but you would be hard-pressed to find a sweeter cat. She is in the process of being adopted by a consistent PAWS volunteer.

All funds raised will be used to care for those currently in PAWS care, as well as to continue our TNVR program. This prevents more kittens from being born on the streets, and it keeps the cats healthier as they are cared for by colony caretakers, who feed and provide shelter for them in their outdoor home.

Any and all donations are deeply appreciated! Everything helps, no matter how small. Thank you so much!
