I have created this Gofundme in hope of helping my cousin Paul who lives in Ecuador with some money to get his prosthetic leg. I will share his story as he has.
My name is Paul Arteaga Portilla, I am 27 years old, at the age of 20 years old on July 2015 I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma ( malignant tumor in the bones and cartilages) of the right tibia. Since, I have had 5 surgeries, 9 cycles of chemotherapy in different lapses throughout the past 6 years. My last treatment was ineffective and the doctors told me that the only final option was to amputate my leg which was done February 10, 2021. For this reason, I find myself asking for funds to get my prosthetic leg to adapt to my lifestyle which has always been playing sports since I was little. I share this and am hopeful of making my dream to get my prosthetic leg a reality.
My cousin Paul is someone who despite all his challenges has always remained optimistic and is currently working very hard in therapy! Any amount at all would help and Paul and all our family truly appreciates it!

Hola, mi nombre es Paúl Arteaga Portilla tengo 27 años y en Julio del 2015 fui diagnosticado con un osteosarcoma (tumor maligno de los huesos y de los cartílagos articulares) en mi tibia derecha. He sido sometido a 5 cirugías, 9 ciclos de quimioterapia todo esto en diferentes lapsos. Luego de que el último tratamiento no diera resultado, los médicos me dieron como única opción la amputación de mi pierna, la cual se realizó el 10 de Febrero del 2021, por esta razón me encuentro recaudando fondos para conseguir una prótesis que se adapte a mi estilo de vida la cual desde pequeño siempre estuvo alineada al deporte.
Las cotizaciones que he realizado de la misma van desde los $12.300 hasta los $18.000, dinero que no tengo.
Por tal motivo se me hace imposible acceder a esta prótesis que ayude a mejorar mi calidad de vida y me permita perseguir mis sueños.
