Help Paul Fund His Cancer Treatment

Hey everyone, my name is Ben and I am fundraising for Paul Mauro who was just diagnosed with cancer. His surgery is scheduled for September 15 where we will find out the extent of his diagnosis. He is a first officer at Spirit airlines and is Orlando-based. Paul's wife Kali, daughter Bailey and son Maddox are all helping to support him at home throughout this ordeal. It's going to be sometime before long term disability kicks in so I would like to gather support for one of our fellow Spirit family members and friends.

 

You may not realize it, but some of you may you could be carrying some of Paul's study guides which he has so carefully and accurately constructed. I've known Paul since the early 2000s where we were in flight school together in Sanford. He has always been an amazing instructor, teacher and friend. There is no doubt that those of you who have flown with him have witnessed his professionalism, extensive knowledge base and dedication to his job as a pilot. Paul also volunteers as a mentor for new-hires as well.

 

Paul is working closely with the union and management to minimize his time away from work, but as this is still very new situation, it could be a while before he reacquires his medical. If there is anything that you may be willing to donate to assist Paul and his family through this difficult time, it would be greatly appreciated. The goal is set for $5,000, but I kindly ask all of us to try and go way beyond that number. All donations will go to treatment and recovery costs and any money raised beyond what is needed will be further donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
