Help Patty Murto pay for cancer treatment.

When I learned that Patty Murto had colo-rectal cancer, my first thought was, "Cancer doesn't stand a chance." 

Those who know Patty will agree, the woman was born to solve problems.  And luckily for us, she is usually willing to roll up her sleeves and help until the work is done (and then she'll stay and sweep up the floor.)

Patty has helped elect countless DFL politicians.  She was co-chair of the 8th CD DFL for many years and chair of Carlton County DFL for...well...forever.  

Patty founded the Volunteer Attorney Program, which she ran for 30 years.  She was a school board member.  When she won her race for Carlton County Commissioner, she became of of the first female commissioners in the state.

I could list more, but I think you get my drift, Patty Murto has helped many, many people. 

Now, she needs our help.

She has had surgery and is preparing to start radiation and chemotherapy.  Recent changes in her insurance policy will result in substantial out-of-pocket cost for the life-saving treatment she will need over the next year or so.  Often, providers will want payment up front.  Patty cannot cover all of it.

Let's make sure that Patty can get all the treatment she needs.  Your donation, whether large or small is deeply appreciated. It would be great if she could start treatment knowing that the first courses are covered. It would be even better, if we could show Patty  just how much affection she has earned over the years.
