Help Pastor Jim Get Back on His Feet!

On August 2nd, our Papa had a stroke and was rushed to the hospital for immediate care. He was out looking for his new fur baby, Benji, when he was overcome with the intense sensation that we now know was a stroke, and fell to the ground unresponsive. His speech and the left side of his body is suffering most of the damage. Once in ICU, he had a wonderful care team who worked with him in speech and physical therapy.

They recently moved him to an acute rehabilitation program and is slowly regaining strength in his left side, working intensively with a speech therapist and starting to eat on his own again. He still has little to no movement in his left side but every day is a testament to God's grace as Papa makes his recovery. The doctors and therapist estimate he's at about 50% of the way there, but we know that God is not limited to a diagnosis!

We are asking for your support as we encounter what can seem like an overwhelming financial amount for his treatment. Emergency funds are needed for a full remodel of their master bathroom in order for Papa to access it in his wheelchair. Mounting medical bills seem to keep piling up as we plan for his future rehabilitation. His daily physical therapy that is not covered by insurance, and home care costs which will depend on the amount of care needed. Other medical expenses that are not covered by insurance such as a wheelchair and ramps to access the home, will also be covered by this support.
