Help Our Progressive Future Host A Town Hall

Our Progressive Future is a brand new organization that is seeking to Include more young voices in state and local government. We currently run a free fellowship program where we are teaching 12 lovely fellows the ins and outs of campaign work so that they can use those skills on state and local campaigns in the future. We recently decided to host a Town Hall for millennial and Gen Z elected officials, so that the next generation of voters can meet their representatives, ask them about issues that matter to them, and have a discussion about what being a young person in politics is like today. It is rare that young people get to interact directly with their elected officials and this direct interaction can turn people towards the habit of voting. We are fortunate enough to be able to host a series of these events: on May 31st at Mayday Space in Brooklyn, New York, and on June 7th at Civic Hall in Manhattan. To get this done, we do need some help. We have to pay for both spaces and some basic supplies as soon as possible and don’t have the funds to do this on our own. We believe that this has the potential to mobilize young people from across New York City, and we would love your help so we can have this event!!!
