Mama Bear is the cornerstone of our lives. The Trump administration is not good for Mama Bear. In fact Mama Bear is at risk; Mama Bear has temporarily protected status (her current immigration status) and may have to permanently leave the country with no re-entry. Her temporary protected status (TPS) expires January 1, 2018.
Mama Bear has been in the country for over 25 years and each year and half she has renewed her TPS status for a costly fee. With the current state of the country we fear that her temporary protected status will not be renewed. We, as a family, have dreamt that one day she would become a U.S. resident. In an uncertain future, now may be our last chance to make this dream come true.
We (Maricela, Cinthia, Mariah, and our cat Jax) call upon you to help make us make Mama Bear a resident of the United States, so that she can continue to be a part of our family.
We currently do not have the funds to pay for her residency forms, legal fees, and required travel expenses. Donating to our fund will help us pay for these burdensome expenses.
We are hoping to raise the funds by October so that we can file by the end of the year - when her temporary protected status will end.
Maricela and Cinthia: Donating will mean that we
will not be forcefully separated from our mother. She needs our care; we are her caretakers. The seperation would not only take an emotional toll on our family but strip Mama Bear of her caretakers.
Mariah:

2. How do you kick people out from land you stole?
3. Mama bear holds the two-bedroom-apartment DOWN.
Jax (our cat): She's the only one who consistently feeds me. She keeps me company Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. I love her. I would miss her.
