Our Situation:
On October fourth, while my partner, six-month-old baby, dog and I were at the beach, our vehicle was looted and our laptop, cell phones, camera, wallets, passports, and all of our bank cards and identification were stolen, amongst other items.
Our small business, Wanderground Jewelry provides income by selling at markets, and using forums such as etsy to make online sales. It is our only source of income. Without the macro camera lense, the laptop, and a cellphone, it is very difficult for us to schedule markets, promote our buisness online, and make online sales.
We estimate that the costs of replacing the stolen equipment to be around $2,300 Canadian Dollars ($1,700 USD), if we buy high quality used items including shipping costs.
The costs broken down look something like this:
Used Macbook Air: $1,200 ($900 USD)
Used iPhone 7: $350 ($250 USD)
Used Nikon D90: $350 ($250 USD)
Used Nikon Macro Lens: $400 ($300 USD)
For a grand total of: $2,300 CAD ($1,700 USD)
We have included $500 CAD ($375 USD) more to the total fundraising goal, just because these used prices are estimates and we will not know the price until we secure one for purchase.
