Help Our Dad Beat Prostate Cancer

My husband, Art,  and father of our 7 children was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer which has spread into his bones.   He is now on hormone therapy.  He is also starting Zytiga daily which has been very effective in patients by stopping the cancer from growing for an average of 5 years.    Unfortunately, he has minimal insurance coverage and so far,  the out of pocket expenses have added up to over $7000 since July.
      Art  is a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired police officer from NY who had served his country and community throughout his life.  He always worked hard to provide for his family.  Unfortunately, Art and many other retired officers do not get lifetime health insurance benefits.  Art was always healthy and strong.  While in the army, he was a welterweight boxing champion.   He worked out at the gym regularly and took walks with me everyday, until three months ago when he started feeling weak and was then diagnosed with cancer.  He is now weak and was told he will never build muscle again. His doctor told him to work out to keep his bones strong because that is where the cancer has spread to.  
     Our children are grown now and we live on a small pension and social security which leaves little extra to pay for medical bills of this amount.  If we do not make monthly payments on the copays,  they will not continue his treatment.  Any donations and prayers will be greatly appreciated and  thank you for your support for our loved one.
