Help Our Church Organist with Medical Bills

Donation protected
Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton, IL is raising funds to pay the medical bills for our organist who suffered a serious illness.

Robert Ward came to Trinity Episcopal Church on Pentecost Sunday in 2013. For the last eight years, he has served as organist and directed both the Choir and the Bell Choir. Now, he could use your help. While attending a worship committee meeting on May 20th, Robert became ill and was transported to the hospital with a cardiac episode. Doctors determined that a major artery was 99% blocked and three stents were implanted. There were problems regulating his vital signs and he was in the hospital for five days. On June 13th, he was rushed to back the hospital for a suspected blood clot. It was determined that a prescription medication was dosed incorrectly, causing his kidneys to fail, blood pressure to drop, potassium levels to spike, and blood sugar levels to go haywire. After six days in the hospital to adjust his medication, he returned home to start rehabilitation and prepare for his daughter's wedding. Two visits to the hospital and subsequent rehabilitation have left him with large medical bills. Please consider helping.
