The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the world, the United States, and our local Penn State - Hershey communities here in Central Pennsylvania. Most of us know of at least one person affected within our family or circle of friends, and we are all too aware of the potentially devastating impact of the virus on healthy individuals with a strong support network. It comes as no surprise that due to financial and health disparities, that the COVID-19 pandemic impacted our underserved communities especially hard. These populations face problems such as lack of health insurance, access to medical facilities, and feelings of isolation, just to name a few. 

SCOPE is an initiative led by students at the Penn State College of medicine that seeks to bring forth access to affordable, effective, and culturally responsible healthcare to the underserved in Central Pennsylvania. Through our free clinics, vaccination drives, and health-oriented outreach efforts, we have come to know many organizations and the patients they serve. In spite of this pandemic, these organizations have continued to provide essential services in our community!

ALL proceeds will be donated directly to three amazing community partners who  provide shelter and health care to underserved residents in Harrisburg and Ephrata: Shalom House Women's Shelter, Beacon Clinic, and Good Samaritan Ephrata Women's Shelter. These organizations provide an immediate and direct impact for those residents of our communities that need it most in this difficult time.
