Help our big XL puppy Kobi Hip Replacement.

This is our beautiful 1-year-old puppy; Kobi is a large breed dog de Bordeaux x American bulldog and is such an amazing gentle giant. We have had Kobi since 8 weeks of age and watching him grow to be the fun and the loving puppy he is has been unforgettable. Unfortunately, when he became around 6 months old we noticed that he wasnt walking correctly, and he would often fall over when trying to play and chase his other doggy friends around the play park. After several vet appointments, we have recently learned that our poor boy was born without hip sockets and now requires surgery to give him a new hip.

Kobi is currently under the care of Wear Referrals a specialist vets in sedgefield and has been undergoing regular hydrotherapy to strengthen his muscles. It has now been advised that Kobi will need atleast one of his hips replacing so that he can learn to walk properly for the first time and allow him to live a fulfilled doggy life.

Learning this about our baby has been absolutely heartbreaking for us and our kids as a family and watching him struggling to walk and be a normal happy dog has been devastating.

As many pet owners know vet bills and costs can be extortionate and unfortunately for us our pet insurance does not cover the costs for Kobi to have his hip replacement; whilst we took out a policy with a good level of annual cover, the small print limited our cover per condition, and we have now used up that available cover for his hydrotherapy treatment and vet consultation costs.

This isnt something that we would normally do; however, our own current financial situation means we are unable to fund Kobi treatment ourselves; we are desperate to give Kobi the life that he fully deserves and give him the ability to walk normally as all dogs love to do.

A friend of ours suggested we should try and raise funds through gofundme and so we are here seeking help from anyone who can help us. We know how difficult things are right now for everyone and we would not be here if we had any other option to help Kobi, we would be forever grateful for anyone who can offer support and any donations would be very much appreciated.
