Help our Auntie Tiffany's road to recovery!

Donation protected

Auntie Tiffany is the youngest of 6 and the most lively, enthusiastic, and loving auntie in the Le family. She loved to travel, eat, cook, and spend time with her family. Auntie lit up every room and brought the life to every party. She doesn't have any kids, but treated her nieces and nephews as her own. She never forgot one birthday and never missed any defining event or graduation. Auntie Tiffany is a fun-loving, sweet soul and the life and heart of our family.

After dinner on October 24th, 2018,  Auntie Tiffany was planning the trip with her husband to SJ to visit baby Aaron, her soon to be new grand nephew.  She suddenly could not move her neck, had blurred vision, and started to vomit.  Her husband called the ambulance. After arriving at Kaiser emergency room, she collapsed into a coma.

The doctor diagnosed her with subarachnoid hemorrhage, caused by a ruptured aneurysm. Auntie Tiffany was given less than 1% chance of survival that night.  She went through several surgeries and procedures to treat the aneurysm and the vasospasm and hydrocephalus condition developed from the hemorrhage.

After 4 months in ICU, acute  hospital, and then rehab, she is due to go home this week.

Auntie is making remarkable progress, and we are thankful for the perseverance of the hospital staff and strength Auntie has displayed. However, she is still facing many challenges to a full recovery and is still requiring 24/7 care at home. She is currently re-learning to walk and  talk. But unfortunately, she is still required to wear a tracheostomy tube and a feeding tube as she cannot protect her airway and swallow. She regained her long term memory, but having a short term memory loss and not able to retain new information.

We are writing to the world to help us support and find the best care for Auntie Tiffany at home. She is strong, resilient, and is defying all odds on the road to recovery. We are striving to provide her with all the tools she needs, and only hope to show her as much strength as she's shown us.

Thank you for your support!

Love,
Tiffany's nieces and nephews
