Help On The Way for Howie Finfer

Donation protected
On February 6th, our fun-loving friend, Howie, fainted and took a pretty nasty fall, which resulted in some intense injuries to his head and eye.  Deb was able to get him to the local ER, but they were not able to care for his needs.  Consequently, Howie was transported to a hospital in San Jose with a Level II Trauma Center via ambulence where he was evaluated by their Trauma Team and underwent a surgery to repair the injuries to his eye.  Howie spent a night in the ICU where he was watched closely while the trauma team tried to figure out why he fainted.  From there, he was transferred to a regular room and spent another night under observation.  Howie finally made it home on Saturday where Deb is caring for him around the clock.  It is expected that he will need an additional surgery before this is all over.  It is still unknown whether or not he will permanently lose sight in his affected eye.  Serious stuff.

While this might look like a killer set on winter tour... ER visit >  ambulance ride > Trauma Center > surgery > ICU stay > extra night in hospital > additional surgery >  4 weeks off work > copays > deductibles >  20+% of patient responsibility of hospital bills...this is mind-boggling for the Finfers to be responsible for.

This is where you and I come in!!  Let's rally for one of our favorite families!!  In lieu of a meal train, money spent on takeout/groceries, flowers, or a card, the Finfers would be so grateful if we donated to this fund instead.

Please donate what you can and drop Howie, Deb, and Ryan a love note.  You can continue to check back here for updates, as well.

Thank you!
