Help Olivia stay strong as she battles Lymphoma!

My name is Kate and I am here to help raise money for my sister, Rebecca, and her family as they go through their toughest time to date.

The last thing any parent wants to hear are the words "your child has cancer" which is exactly what happened to my sister less than 2 weeks ago. Bek was given a weekend to get things sorted before having to take 10 year old Olivia 2.5hrs away to undergo further testing and treatment. Olivia was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and started Chemotherapy within days of arriving at the hospital.

As Bek and her family live in Bathurst (Regional NSW) we don't have the medical facilities to cater for Olivia's treatment locally so she will have to stay in Sydney (2.5 hours away) for the duration of her treatment. After just having chemo for 5 days in a row, Olivia is only half way through her first round with at least another 3 rounds to go over the coming months.

As Olivia is also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, it has been a tough adjustment to be away from everything she knows. It has been incredibly overwhelming for her! The only comfort she has is having her mum and dad by her side as she fights the fight of her young life. In the coming weeks, Olivia will continue to have chemotherapy, possibly radiation, not to mention all the tests. Her little body will be exhausted, she will lose her hair, she will be sick, she will feel absoluetly miserable! All she will want is her mum and dad!!

I am hoping to raise money for this family to stay together! Money is the last thing this family should be worrying about so the longer they can go without having to return to work, the better for them all. Even though their world has stopped, the mortgage, bills etc have not! These funds will go directly to paying for the daily living for this family to keep them from having to work while Olivia recieves her treatment.

Olivia is being such a brave little warrior through the process so far, but it is just the beginning for her. Let's keep her smile shining bright and grant her wish of having her parents by her side as she battles this devastating cancer!
