Funds for Olivia's cancer treatment & family living expenses
The Deslatte family had their world turned upside down in a matter of minutes on February 16th. 2020. There were no warning signs that their precious daughter, Olivia, would be diagnosed with aggressive T-cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This massive tumor is wrapped around her trachea, displacing her heart, pressing on her spine, and the size of 3 men's fists. She will being completing 28 days of an aggressive regimen of chemotherapy at Children's hospital in Dallas, Tx. She will then continue another form of chemotherapy for another 2 years. We have created this page to allow Olivia's parents to be able to spend the upcoming days with her without having the stress of finances. There will be many nights spent away from home, many meals on-the-go, several missed work days, countless number of hospital bills, etc. Olivia has remained extremely positive throughout this process and is surrounded by her loving family and many people from abroad that have offered prayers and words of encouragement.
Olivia Marie Deslatte is a bright, energetic 12 year old girl. She is academically gifted and talented, always eager to learn. She has a natural artistic ability and portrays her art through several mediums. Olivia is a problem solver, quick to solve problems before others knew the problem existed. Olivia has a phobia of needles and has already made it her life goal to find a way to administer shots painlessly for children like her one day!
Most of all, Olivia has a heart of gold. she is a natural empath, feeling the pain of others. She has a passion for doing the right thing and making the right choices. Some of her favorite things include all -things Harry Potter and trips to Disney with her cousin/best friend Cami. She goes by the nickname “Hufflepuff”.
