Help Oberon get his Second surgery

Donation protected
This is Oberon. He is a 6 years old Maine Coon and the most gentle boy you'll ever meet. Oberon fell out of a 3 storey building window. I felt my heart drop with him. By the time I got down stairs he was bleeding from his mouth and dragging his hind legs. He couldn't walk. He was in a state of shock and pain .

His VET was closed, so I rushed him to the closest open animal hospital I could find. They put him on oxygen, stabilised him and told me they'd needed to hospitalise him, give him pain killers to make him comfortable but that they'd need to do an X-ray and blood works to see the extent of his injuries.  Before they could do that I needed to pay upfront. I coughed up £800 for his first night and for his procedures.

That morning at 1:30am I got the call saying he needed surgery. In the fall he had dislocated his knee cap, which they managed to put pack in place under sedation. He was lucky he hadn't broken his jaw, as cats tend to break it in these cases.
Unfortunately he broke a bone in his left hind paw and needed surgery which would cost £2000.
They told me that for now he was stable but that I needed to make a decision as the quicker he gets it done the better (so that his bone doesn't start setting).

The cost of his surgery did not include the post-op care, meds and hospitalisation. I could hardly pay his first night in hospital.

So I contacted some other VETS and animal charities to see if they could help but they prioritise existing clients and rarely take on out patients.

I finally got a call from Celia Hammond saying they would take him on.

This was 6 weeks ago- since then the money you all helped raise has been going towards his operation and all the extensive post op care he's needed.

I have been really concerned about his other leg-the one which got dislocated as he wasn't using it and  he seemed to be in a lot of pain.
Although I kept raising it with the vets at Celia Hammond-that something wasn't right and it needed to be check out-nothing was done about it.

Today after weeks of nagging- I managed to get them to scan both legs at a different Celia Hammond Branch.
Thankfully, his operated leg-has healed nicely, although they've told me that it seems he had a small fissure in one of his toes in that same leg (which was overlooked-all 6 times I've taken him) which hasn't healed properly and unfortunately there is not much they can do about it.

When I asked about his other leg, they said the X-rays came out alright and I shouldn't be concerned , but when I insisted that they do a thorough check of his leg , they realised that his dislocation had shifted back and because it was 'left for so long' he would need surgery to rectify it.

To say I was furious is an understatement. The stress this has caused both myself and Oberon not to mention the pain he's been in, is frustrating to say the least.

I am really struggling to find the money to pay for another surgery and I've now reached the sum of the funds raised by all you amazing people.

Please can I ask you all to help share Oberon's story so he can have the other surgery to rectify the damage caused by all this negligence.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
