"Help Nurse Nancy Beat Cancer"

Dear All,

My younger sister and I are revamping our fundraiser for our mother, Nancy Douge´, who was diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago. Many would describe her as a caregiver with a heart of gold. Despite her diagnosis, she tries to hide her pain while trying to serve her family and friends.

Before her diagnosis, our mother was in nursing for over thirty years, always ready to extend herself to help someone else in need. We call her “Nurse Nancy!” 

In September 2018, a turn of events happened to our mother’s health; her doctor advised her to take some time off to focus on intensive cancer treatments. After our first fundraising campaign, Mom was getting treatment and getting better-- as we hoped.

But as time passed, the onset of Covid and stress, Mom's cancer spread, so we need your help! Please see our latest update on our hopes to get combined treatment for Mom.

Nurse Nancy is a mother of two beautiful daughters, a grandmother, the oldest sister of ten siblings, an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a great friend. She is also strong, compassionate, caring and funny. Family means everything to her. It isn’t her nature to ask anyone for help… so it’s our turn to lift and support her in beating cancer!
