Help Nuria Paz beat breast cancer!

Hi, my name is Maria Torres, and I am fundraising in support of my amazing mom Nuria Paz. She is a 41-year-old daughter, wife, sister, and devoted mother of 2. My mom has always supported my little sister and I through thick and thin, and I wish to do the same for her in these challenging times.

She is fighting against an aggressive form of breast cancer called invasive ductal carcinoma on stage 2 and HER2 positive. While still working, she endured 6 chemotherapy sessions, which is only the beginning of her extensive treatment. The next step is one year of infusions, which she has already started, and a double mastectomy. All this followed by 15 radiation treatments.

Fortunately, her diagnosis is good, but the treatment is what will make it extremely challenging. Due to the next steps of her treatment, my mom will not be able to work, so she won't be able to have any income. We are hoping to raise funds to support her medical costs, as well as support her while she is unable to work during this time.

I hope I can ease some of her stress and make her feel comfortable while she is unable to work. My mom is the kind of person that can never stay put; she has always been a hard worker and very independent. I want her to know how loved and cared for she is, even if many are far away.

Hola, mi nombre es Maria Torres y estoy recaudando fondos para apoyar a mi increíble mamá Nuria Paz. Ella es una hija, esposa, hermana y madre devota de 2 hijas. Mi madre tiene 41 años de edad y siempre nos ha apoyado a mi hermana pequeña y a mí en las buenas y en las malas, y deseo hacer lo mismo por ella en estos tiempos difíciles.

Ella está luchando contra una forma agresiva de cáncer de mama llamada carcinoma ductal invasivo en etapa 2 y HER2 positivo. Mientras aún trabajaba, soportó 6 sesiones de quimioterapia, que es solo el comienzo de su extenso tratamiento. Los siguientes pasos son un año de infusiones, que ya ha comenzado, y una doble mastectomía. Todo esto seguido de 15 tratamientos de radiación.

Afortunadamente, su diagnóstico es bueno, pero el tratamiento es lo que lo hará extremadamente difícil para ella. Debido a los próximos pasos de su tratamiento, mi mamá no podrá trabajar, por lo que no podrá tener ningún ingreso. Esperamos recaudar fondos para apoyar sus costos médicos, así como apoyarla mientras no pueda trabajar durante este tiempo.

Espero poder aliviar un poco su estrés y hacer que se sienta cómoda mientras no puede trabajar. Mi mamá es el tipo de persona que nunca puede quedarse quieta; siempre ha sido muy trabajadora e independiente. Quiero que sepa lo amada que es, aunque muchos estén lejos.
