Help Northern Pine Kick Covid in the Can!

Northern Pine Brewing opened its doors on October 27, 2017, and our experience operating and running Northern Pine has been nothing short of amazing. We have gained lifelong friends, built a strong bond with our community, created a new family made up of our wonderful customers, and have become an integral part of the craft community. We are very proud that we won the "Best New Brewery" in all of San Diego in our first year, and that was because our beers were so well-received. Since opening, we have added 5 additional fermenters to keep up with demand and we were preparing to upgrade our brewhouse, begin construction on a second location, and start canning and bottling some of our most demanded beer. Things, however, changed quickly; COVID and the shutdown orders interrupted life as we know it and halted all plans for the time being.

Northern Pine was built by hand and with hard work and the support of family, friends, and the community we became a successful brewery. We strive every day to put our customers, community, employees, and beer first. COVID hasn’t changed that. For the safety of our customers, community, and employees we will remain closed. As far as our beer goes, YES, we want to keep brewing and create ways to safely get our beer to our customers. While we are busy working behind the scenes to prepare our business for an eventual re-opening, today we are excited to kick-off phase one of getting back to business by raising money for a crowler machine.

Acquiring a crowler machine will allow us to get our beer into cans and into your hands. This will not only be valuable to us during our shutdown but it will be crucial to have packaged beer as we re-open. We have a long road ahead of us-as do all restaurants, bars, and breweries. With regulations on capacity and a constant looming concern for health, adjusting our business to the times is going to be essential to get us back to the days where we have a full house and flowing taps. 

We have applied for relief via the small business aid we’re sure you’ve all heard about but we have yet to receive any funds. We cannot financially afford to wait any longer and thus we are taking things into our own hands and seeking the help of our community.  While we’ve been closed, we’ve been balancing paying bills with trying to invest in operations that will allow us to get our beer to the public despite the shutdown and bring us a new revenue source when we reopen. Getting this one piece of equipment will provide us an entirely new system that accomplishes our goal in a safe, easy, and convenient method for both Northern Pine and our customers. 

We have put everything into this business and we want to see it not only survive but thrive and grow. With your help we can get Northern Pine Brewing through this difficult time and get a really great NPB cold beer in your hand now and in the future.

When the campaign is complete, a gift card will be given to each donor as a thank you. 20% of your donation will be automatically turned into a gift card with a maximum of $200. All donors will obtain “VIP” status which will enable you to order any new cans before they are offered to the public.
