Dear friends, this fundraiser is set up to help my aunt Nora and her family offset the costs of her cancer treatment in Venezuela. Living in a country with limited resources and that is going through a humanitarian crisis has already been distressing and painful enough for her, but to also have this life threatening condition has caused us all to have to go an ocean of suffering. For this reason they turn to us, their very few relatives who live in the U.S. for financial support.
My aunt was diagnosed with Stage 3 Endometrial Adenocarcinoma, also known as uterine cancer. She recently underwent surgery involving a Hysterectomy and removal of lymph nodes, and she's now currently in the hospital recovering and waiting to start chemotherapy and radiation. Sadly, she cannot do it without the help of kind donors. I would like to thank all the people who have already contributed one way or another.
The funds have been used toward several necessities, including obtaining all the medical supplies needed for her surgery. She's a single mother to a fifteen year old son, and she also helped raise me when I was just a few months old until I turned six as well as my little brother. Not only has she helped her son and us, but she has cared for my sick and aging grandmother throughout her life, and my grandma still needs her. I have always held a special spot in my heart for her and I hope I can look forward to spending time with her whenever I travel back.
