Help Nilla Receive Emergency Surgery

Yesterday, Nilla, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, was on a walk with her dad, Noah, when she spotted a squirrel and snapped her leash while chasing it. Unfortunately, she was hit by a car, but was able to limp off quickly and went missing. Thankfully, last evening, Nilla ended up in a yard near the accident scene. Because of observant community members, Nilla was quickly reunited with her dad, who reports that even though she was obviously injured, her tail started wagging immediately and she slobbered him with kisses.

When Noah took Nilla to the emergency vet, he was informed that her pelvis is fractured in multiple places and was devastated to learn the surgery to fix it will cost around $7000. The reason the surgery is emergent in nature is related to where the fractures are located. The rest of her injuries appear stable.

Noah is an animal lover who recently lost his beloved 14-year-old dog, Kiki. Nilla’s adoption has helped to heal Noah’s heart and the two have quickly become inseparable. Nilla also needed a fresh start – she was transported to MN from Alabama, where she lived in rough conditions and experienced things no dog should have to. She has found love, safety and stability with Noah. 100% of monies raised will go towards Nilla’s medical care. Please help us keep sweet Nilla alive and on the path to her happily ever after!
