Help Nick get a t:slim insulin pump

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

Recently, i found out that the company (Animas) that made the pump that i currently use and have used since my diagnosis, March 15, 2010, will no longer be selling pumps and have transferred their operations and warranty to Medtronic. The warranty on my pump ends in May of 2019.

Here is a link to the press release from Animas.

I have been eyeing the pump pictured below for quite a number of years now and they have announced a "deal" for anyone that has been affected by Animas and their decision.

Here is the link on Tandem's website about the offer to Animas customers.

The deal is outlined in the link above but the skinny is that if i pay $999, i would be able to get the pump pictured below.

Unfortunately, Diabetes is already extremely expensive and this deal is only offered until the end of march. I would normally be okay with riding out the rest of my warranty, however, during my recent visit to my endocrinologist, they were unable to download the information from my current pump. This is crucial to helping understand how my current insulin rates are. This is why i have turned to gofundme and you guys. I am in no way able to afford the $999, and insurance will not play ball until my warranty has elapsed.

I do appreciate any and all help. Im not fond of asking for help but i know at this point it is necessary.

Thank you times a million,

From your Type 1 Diabadass,
Nick :)
