Help Neil recover from brain surgery

Neil just had brain surgery. There were no complications, but surgeons are disappointed and surprised with how he came out of it. He is struggling to talk and remember the closest people in his life.

Neil and his family need support to help his recovery and get through a tough time where he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future.

Recently Neil had a few seizures while at a football game with the kids. Scans showed he had a tumour on his brain that needed to be removed.

He went in for surgery to remove the tumour, which should have been relatively routine, according to the surgeons. The tumour was removed, but since the surgery Neil has experienced memory troubles (unable to recognise the closest people in his life) and is still experiencing severe speech difficulties (struggling to comprehend and verbalise his thoughts).

While he is improving and is expected to make a significant recovery, he will need to stay in a rehabilitation clinic for about a month for extensive speech, occupational and physio therapy. Eventually, he will need chemotherapy to help get on top of the tumour when it returns.

Neil just had a new baby boy, Spencer, about a month ago. Alana and the 4 kids are able to visit Neil and help him regain his memory, but they obviously need their dad back home and healthy as soon as they can.

All money raised will go towards any treatment or medication Neil needs, helping Alana and the kids travel to be with Neil as often as they can, putting food on the table and helping support the family through this incredibly tough situation.

It's unclear how long Neil will be out of work so any donations are appreciated and would mean the world to Neil and his family.

Hopefully he will be back to his normal, funny self eventually.. but we're just happy to have him here right now ❤
