Thank you everyone for making the Hidden Valley Camp GoFundMe campaign such a huge success. We have surpassed our initial goal of $75,000 thanks to the generosity of all that believe in the mission of HVC. We are going to keep the campaign open for a bit longer to provide the chance for potential donors to contribute that have not had the opportunity. Thanks again for your belief in and support of Hidden Valley Camp.

Dear Friends and Family of Hidden Valley Camp,
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the health and safety of our campers and staff, we made the very difficult decision to suspend operations for the summer of 2020. This will be the first summer since HVC was founded in 1947 that camp will not be in session. Needless to say, the financial impact is devastating, as we rely on camper fees to cover all aspects of the year-round operation of camp. We have set up this GoFundMe page to help us through this challenging time, which will run through August 15th.
For those who aren’t familiar, Hidden Valley Camp is a traditional overnight summer camp nestled in the Cascade Mountain foothills, near Granite Falls, Washington. We are an independent camp and are accredited by the American Camp Association. For 73 straight summers, HVC has provided a supportive, close-knit, natural environment for campers to unplug from their fast-paced lives to build lasting friendships and create lifelong memories. Unfortunately, that streak ended this year and we have no revenue stream from camper payments.
The initial support from our current HVC families, along with our alumni, has been tremendous. This has enabled us to endure the short-term impact, but unfortunately, more help is needed to keep the HVC tradition alive. Our routine expenses continue with insurance, taxes, utilities, routine maintenance, horse care, salaries for year-round staff, and more.
We understand that this is a financially challenging time for many and wish we did not need to ask for your help. The bottom line is: this is necessary for camp to survive. 100% of all donations will be applied to the year-round operational costs of Hidden Valley Camp. Anything you can do to help is much appreciated.
