Help Needed to Rebuild Paws Above

Storm destroys barn at dog/farm animal rescue …help needed to rebuild Paws Above !

Ola and Jeff have run Paws above dog Rescue/Inc. for over 15 years. Their home in King city was the base for their dog boarding /daycare and training centre. It is also where they housed their rescue dogs, fosters and rescue farm animals.

This spring a destructive storm hit the farm and destroyed the barn that the farm animals were housed in .

The farm animals have been displaced and spending time at a wonderful neighbours paddock that was offered as an emergency reprieve. This temporary solution is extremely appreciated (while wonderful now) it is not adequate for the upcoming winter months.

Ola and Jeff have leased the Paws Above home base property for over a decade. Although the barn and debris were “mostly” taken away they have no other buildings or structures to bring the barn family home to.

In their personal family of farm animals they have “Bruce “the livestock guardian dog who was rescued from euthanasia, goats and several birds that were taken in as personal rescues for Ola and Jeff.

They need to rebuild and they need help now!

Their current landlords have no plans to rebuilding any animal structures at this time, which makes this mission to fund the rebuild of a paddock and sheds of utmost importance.

The barn animals do not need anything as large and majestic as the barn that was destroyed. But they need something !

They are looking to build one small structure and some fencing to contain this brood of very loved livestock pets.

If you have fencing supplies and skills and would like to help, that would greatly diminish the cost of the rebuild. We would love to have any donated supplies and volunteers !

We really want to help them as Ola and Jeff have helped many in the past.

The covid epidemic has taken a toll on their family and business. This tragedy was not expected but also did not come at a time of stability.
