Help secure Br. Alim’s family’s future

Urgent Appeal 
With a heavy heart, we are organizing this fundraiser to support the family of one of our beloved community members, Br. Alim Nausrudeen. Br. Alim returned to his creator yesterday, Thursday, June 20th. He was a role model family man, a loving husband to Sr. Anesha Karim, a 5th grade teacher at Islamic School of Irving, and a devoted father to 6 kids ages 5 to 18. He seized every opportunity to spend time with or help his family, friends and neighbors.

The Nausrudeen family moved to Irving from New York just a couple of years ago, but have since created significant marks of generosity, benevolence, and selflessness. It did not take long for them to win the hearts of so many community members.
Br. Alim found special interest in sports and was often seen passionately playing basketball, or biking with his youngest son, Zubair, in tow.

Br. Alim was an asthmatic who dedicated his career as a respiratory therapist in order to help others breathe better and live more comfortably. On Thursday afternoon, he collapsed due to difficulty in breathing, while playing basketball at the masjid. He was fasting when he passed away, intending to finish up his last days of the Shawwal six day fasts. Masha Allah! What an amazing state to return to the creator. May Allah SWT, enter him to paradise through the door of Ar-Rayyan, the door promised for the one who fasts. Ameen. May Allah SWT give Sabr to his family. Ameen.

The ICI/ISI community is humbly requesting your continued precious duas and your supportive financial contribution to help Br. Alim’s family during this unfathomably difficult time. Although there is no way to prepare for such a sudden calamity, we can all do our small share to help ease any burden.

With 6 young children left behind and the uncertain financial future looming in front of the family, we want to ensure that the financial burden on the family is alleviated especially relating to securing their financial needs relating to the children’s education.
